Hi, my name is Alan Holmes, I am 34, and I am a web developer, based in Stockton on Tees. I first started developing websites at college, back in 2002, where I did a module in web development, it was this single module, that set me on the path. After college I went on to complete a degree, at Teesside University, receiving a BSc (Hons) in Web Development in 2006, and I now have 13 years of commercial experience.

Work

Jul 2005 - March 2008
Web Developer | Imagine CS
Whilst on my degree, I undertook a years work experience placement, in 2005-2006, with Imagine CS. They kept me on part time whilst I finished my degree, and after which I then returned to full time employment with them.
Imagine CS, was a sub division of Walkerhall Associates (a business start up enterprise), so as well as working on commercial websites (including e-commerce and other database driven websites), I also created hundreds of 4 page starter websites, as apart of Walkerhall's start up service.

April 2008 - July 2011
Technical Director | Hewitson & Holmes Ltd
After being made redundant, both myself, and my former manager at Imagine CS (Doug Hewitson), decided to set up on our own, and thus Hewitson & Holmes Ltd was established.
Whist here, I continued to develop commercial websites (including e-commerce and other database driven websites), and developing our in house applications.
